I feel like writing this blog as I feel like I need to put this out there in the world. It doesn’t matter who reads this but I am sure that many people would agree with me.
I know that I have not had an easy time at university and I am looking into dropping out. I know that many people would see that as a waste of my life and that I don’t know what I want to do, but ask yourself; does anyone actually know what they want to do at 18 when they apply to university?
I have an interview tomorrow at a hospital to be a maternity assistant, yes this is something that I have not looked into before but that’s because I have had people say that I couldn’t do it and I convinced myself that I couldn’t do anything like this at all.
Going to university is not the only way to get where you want to in life. Experience can help you get to the place you want to be, yes there will be hard work but you can’t get anything or anywhere without a bit of hard work. You don’t need to be the straight A student to be successful, everyone is successful in their own mind and way. All that matters is that you are happy with what you are doing.
I know that it seems that I will have wasted 2 years of my life at university, but I have learnt the hard way how life works. I have learnt that no matter how much a person puts you down or pushes you back, you can always follow them dreams and prove them wrong.
It’s ok to not know what you want to do with your life as long as you reach your happy place, and with hard work, you can achieve anything.
